Every stage on one page
Ranges assume an average room. Dry rooms run ahead of this, humid rooms behind, which is what the room setting adjusts for.
Fresh from the jar
Under 1 hour. Peak squish. Pat it dry gently and set it somewhere open.
The open-air day
Hours 1 to 24 (adjusted for the room). Out of the jar on a plate or rack. Damp is normal, sticky is normal.
Still drying for most
Hours 24 to 48. Past the printed minimum, and many toys still feel damp in the middle. More open air is the whole plan.
Firming up
Days 2 to 4. The surface dries ahead of the core. The texture starts to change, and that is by design.
The crunch is landing
Days 5 to 7. Light, dry, crunchy. Nearly there or already done.
Fully evolved
Past day 7. The permanent crunchy bean-bag stage. Re-soaking does not undo it.
